Hello,
My name is Ms. Cash and I am your school librarian.
My Role in the School:
As the librarian at Blossom County High School, my role is to be a key resource for both students and teachers, helping everyone succeed and grow. I manage a collection of books, digital tools, and resources that support what students are learning in class, while also giving them the chance to explore new topics on their own. I teach students how to find and use information, helping them build skills they can carry with them beyond school. I also organize events and activities to make the library a space where students can connect, get inspired, and feel like they belong. Overall, I work to make sure the library is a place that supports learning, creativity, and personal growth for everyone.
My Role in the Library:
In the library, my role is to make sure it’s a place where students feel comfortable and have access to everything they need to succeed. I manage the collection of books, online resources, and tech tools to support what students are learning in class, while also making sure they have options to explore their own interests. I help students find the information they need, whether it’s for a research project or just for fun, and teach them how to use the resources effectively. I also organize events and activities like book clubs, challenges, and fairs to make the library more engaging and fun. The library is a place where students can not only work but also feel inspired and connected.
Personal Teaching Philosophy:
As a teacher-librarian, I believe that part of becoming a lifelong learner is developing a love of reading that promotes curiosity. This will be accomplished by learning how to gather superlative research, developing critical thinking skills, and allowing students to choose what they read in a comfortable, cozy space.
